Terminal enterprises urgently need to find new growth points to improve the profit level; Thirdly, the indoor display, especially the engineering market, is gradually entering a stage of multiple technology adhesion, highlighting market opportunities. Developing suitable products and entering the indoor engineering market can achieve the "restructuring of business structure" of traditional LED large screen enterprises. From this, it can be seen that the emergence of small pitch LED large screens is not only driven by technological inevitability, but also by the active market choices of enterprises, as well as the instinctive drive of capital to pursue efficiency and expansion.

At present, the mainstream small spacing products in the market refer to products at levels P1.6, P1.5, P1.2, and so on. The product with a pixel spacing of 1.2MM is the one with the highest pixel density among mass-produced products. From the perspective of laboratory products, the 1.0MM product has reached mass production level, while the 0.8MM product has broken through all key technical nodes and will be one of the main new products in the future. There is also some research and development exploration for products with smaller pixel spacing. Among them, it is worth mentioning that the P0.8 product can already achieve 2k standard image quality output on a display size of 50-60 inches; The P1.5 level product meets the full high-definition display quality of a 100 inch level display screen—— These standards, although lagging behind the 4K display capabilities of LCD and other devices, fully meet and exceed China's high-definition display standards, meet the resolution requirements of mainstream video and audio signals, and meet the resolution requirements of most indoor display applications.

It is precisely because of the maturity and widespread emergence of products below P2 that the LED display screen industry has a strategic demand for "small spacing" to enter the indoor market, and has become a key direction for industry development in the context of the continuous decline in LED outdoor high brightness display screen prices and increasingly fierce market competition. Incomplete data indicates that more than 70-80% of the research and development resources in the LED large screen industry have been used for small pitch products and related IC, packaging and other processes since 2020. However, even so, the large-scale application of small pitch LED displays still faces technical and industrial difficulties.
