LED display screens can use specialized large screen signal processors to convert interlaced TV signals into progressive scanning signals, which are then played on the large screen. The high-performance processing function can handle up to 10 or more bits, and interpolation, motion prediction and compensation, as well as scanning transformation are required during scanning transformation. Nowadays, high-end large LED screens also adopt this method and perform more image signal processing, striving to elevate the signal to the broadcasting level, and of course, the effect is also better.
Computer images also need to be processed by this processor and then sent to the large screen for display. Processing technology is still constantly developing, and many new algorithms have been proposed. We are familiar with the widespread use of this method in large-sized back projection televisions and plasma large screen televisions, and the results are much better than ordinary televisions. In this case, the output signal is usually described in the transformed signal format, which appears more accurate.
Another type of screen signal processing for LED displays is the multimedia method, commonly known as the synchronous screen method. This method uses a regular multimedia card to capture TV signals and perform demodulation, filtering, and voice separation. After the image signal is converted into A/D, it is compressed using MPEG encoding for storage. Decompress it during playback and watch it directly on the computer monitor. The signal sent to the large screen is obtained from the computer's DVI interface or graphics card through a dedicated adapter card, which requires some processing.
At this point, the large screen is actually equivalent to a computer monitor or part of it, commonly referred to as a window, which can achieve one-to-one synchronized display. Due to the progressive scanning of the computer monitor, if the frame and line extraction processing is not performed on the transmitted signal, then the display format of the large screen is the format of the monitor.
